The only place you can see Pumpkin Kings and Pumpkin Poles, Mona Lisa and unexpected mayhem, Snap 'n' Pops, buskers and a sidewalk parade featuring shopping-cart floats is on Littleton's Main Street during the eighth-annual Pumpkin Follies and Goat Show, sponsored by the Historic Downtown Littleton Merchants. The public is welcome to attend the coronation of this year's Pumpkin King and Queen on Oct. 8th, 7-9 p.m. at Delizios (2299 W. Main St.). The $5 admission includes the oddest assortment of entertainment ever - Elvis, politicians, comics, gongs, magicians, contests, a rousing game of "Cups Up" and who knows what else. Commoners and royalty alike should start gathering on Main Street the next morning at 11 a.m. for the only-one-of-its-kind sidewalk parade at noon, where buskers, goats and royalty cavort amidst wildly decorated Pumpkin Poles and shopping-cart floats. Stay until 1 p.m. to take part in the free and louder-than-you-can-imagine Snap 'n' Pop Drop, during which hundreds of people hurl Snap 'n' Pops at the sidewalk simultaneously.
